Camp Salvador: Travel, play and work with a purpose
High School freshmen, sophomores & juniors
are welcome to apply as counselors!
Camp Salvador is an opportunity for high school students to travel, play and work with a purpose. All of the young people who participate from the U.S. and El Salvador say that Camp Salvador is a life changing, memorable, and positive experience!
We accept up to 10 students and applications are due on Halloween, October 31st.
The chosen counselors will have trainings once a month on Sunday afternoons to bond with one another and plan the activities they want to share with the Salvadoran children.
This is more than just traveling as a tourist. The U.S. student counselors have the opportunity to live with a family and experience daily life, contribute to literacy in the community by raising funds for the library the community needs, and provide a fun day-camp experience for 5th and 6th graders in the village.
All current freshman, sophomores and juniors are invited to apply. One year of Spanish is preferable. You can bring your friends. Visit Hermanas Spokane website at www.hermanasspokane.org to review the information and materials. Hermanas Spokane is a 501 (c) (3) that sponsors Camp Salvador.
